About Crystal
I love all things kids! I grew up playing "school" with all my cousins, and have been a straight A student all my life. I've been a summer camp counselor, babysitter, and trusted tutor. I'm patient, hardworking, and kind! I'm a theatre major in college, with lots of love and help to give. I'm based out of Miami, FL and willing to drive to students as well as provide remote services. I'm CPR certified, a recipient of the AP Scholar award, and a member of Phi Eta Sigma. I love working with others and have years of experience. Working in education is so special because it's directly connected to the well being and happiness of young individuals. Every time I get to tutor, I'm so incredibly grateful because it means I get to help! Sometimes all it takes to understand something is one more explanation, that's why tutoring and extra help is so important.
I'm the alumni President of International Thespian Troupe 7590, which required me to have lots of one on one time with students. I helped them with various subjects as well as prepared them for acting competitions. I was a summer camp counselor at the Miami Children's Museum, where I facilitated crafts, outdoor play, development of social skills, and helped them complete their summer packets. I'm CPR certified, a strong swimmer, bilingual (English & Spanish), with reliable transportation and strong references!

I normally start out our first session by getting to know the student. Ice breaker games paired with educational tasks that show me where they are. From there, we work on improving skills in a fun and positive way.
