About Tammy

Have a Master of Special Education, with specialization in Communication Disorders. Have worked almost 30 years as a Speech Language Pathologist. I have seen families 25 years down the road and have realized maximizing potential during 0-23, of primary education, is of the utmost importance. I love working with creative, motivated families who realize that intervention and learning happens 24/7. Families who give feedback on their needs/parenting styles, etc. We are a team. I cannot help if you don't communicate. People shutdown if they don't like input or recommendations. The families that succeed are the ones who communicate their concerns, frustrations, learning/parenting style, etc. These learners/parents stay in the game, asking for more options and ideas to get the most out of services. Motivated families carry-over skills into all environments. I love working with families. I love maximizing my learners potential. Keeping as many doors open as possible increases the safety, independence and options for my students. We are a team. I am the coach but cannot maximize potential alone.

I like to find out current levels, goals, programs used to date, etc. A personal plan is developed with each learner/family. The more information I have on what has worked or has not worked helps me fine tune and maximize prorgress.
