About Andreja

I started teaching English in an elementary school in Slovenia, teaching English and Maths at The British School. Then, I moved to Vietnam, where I taught young and adult learners English with Academy English Danang. I continued teaching when I moved to China in 2018, and have been a private tutor ever since. I mostly tutor online now from Slovenia, where I am currently based.

I have a 120 hour TESOL certificate and a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

In the first class, we would have an assessment test to find the student's level of English. We discuss a lesson plan, talk about the struggles the student is facing in school, and areas you would like us to work on.

The second step is developing a lesson plan catered to the level and pace of the student.

I have worked with students from all over the world, and have taught complete beginners to advanced levels.

Learning a second language can be discouraging, especially when initiating a conversation. Being consistent and practicing can break all of these barriers. That is why it is important to find native speakers to practice speaking with.

Even for native speakers, grammar and writing are hurdles, but with proper structure and practice - you can be the next J.K Rowling!

I recently had a student with severe dyslexia. After 10 lessons together the student was able to read a full paragraph by himself. This was really a special day for me and the student.
