About Grace
I am a single person trying to gain a resume. I am in college to teach secondary school. I can work with younger children, as I do in my day job at a before and after school program hosted by the park district. Before that, I was teaching swim lessons. I have been working with children since I was 16, so I know I can be a good fit for most.
I started with teaching swim lessons and now I help children with their e-learning at my job.
I am currently in college and I will have my associates in less than a year.

My typical process when starting with a new student is to see where they are at in their classwork and how much they understand what they are given. Say your high schooler is reading a book for class and they aren't getting it, I'll ask what they do understand then start from there.
All kinds of students. As young as 4 and as old as 17. Children with ADHD and other disorders. I believe that every child has the potential to learn anything.
I would tell a student to look at your needs and what a certain person can provide for you. For example, I do not know anything about advanced math. So maybe it wouldn't be good for you to hire me if you're a high school student who is in an AP math class. However, if you need help in your creative writing class, I'm the right tutor for you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
In regards to reading, it depends on where the child is at. The most important thing is they check for understanding. They should speak up for themselves to make sure they know a subject before moving to a new one.
