About Rebecca
Writing and reading should be fun! These are subjects that not everyone loves, but they are essential in any professional setting. Building a firm foundation can make a difference in learning to value these skills later on. Allow me to use my experience to develop your student's confidence and skill.
I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Nursing Science, and have spent the last five years working as a nurse full time, while also freelancing as a writer on the side. I have experience writing many collegiate level essays, articles for blogs, and scenes for stage performances. I have also assisted others in crafting concise and compelling professional resumes.
I am excited to now have the opportunity to assist others in pursuit of their academic and personal goals.
I love reading and writing! Having the opportunity to pass this love to other students is extremely rewarding. Seeing a student's skills grow, and their appreciation for literature and language expand is the best part of this job!

I do my best to tailor my approach to each student. However, I usually give the student space at the start to show me their current skill level. Then I assess and identify the areas where they need improvement. I then provide the student with materials which will allow them to practice this skill. I also believe in guided practice, so I usually work through the first group of exercises with the student. After I feel they exhibit understanding, I allow them to practice on their own and then evaluate their work after.
Each student is different, and their goals vary. Open communication and routine conversations regarding expectations and needs are critical to a beneficial tutor/student relationship.
