About Keke

I am a senior in high school, also attending college on the side. I want to be a teacher and a therapist in the future and I love working with kids. I, myself needed a little extra guidance and support academically growing up, so I completely understand where you guys are coming from. I would love to help you guys pass your classes, gain a better understanding of your lessons or homework, and even give you guys feedback on what I think you can improve on. I can help you guys learn Spanish and English. I can help you guys write essays and reports, I can help you guys with history, and I can help you guys with math (if you are K-4)... thank you and please do not hesistate to reach out to me! I will be holding parent meetings as well if parents would like to meet me before tutoring begins. We can talk about times and scheduling when meeting.

I personally enjoy watching people do well. I love to see students achieve their goals and make their friends, family, and peers proud!

I have been involved in the Child Developement Program for three years now, and this is a program where the high school collaborates with the college and allows us to be student teachers. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic I had to begin my career path online. However, I had a lot of fun and I have always been around kids because I work with foster kids (for about ten years now)... I love helping others succeed and I would love to help your child as well!

About the lesson

Typically, when working with a new student I like to start off by speaking with the parent. I need to know where the child is at and what goals we are working towards. I want the parent to let me know what their child needs, and I want to be able to provide it for them as well. I usually like to get to know the student first, and then assess them just to see where they are at. Then, I modify and base my lesson planning on their needs and whatever they are struggling with. It is usually a little bit of a breeze in the begininng, but the tough love comes after about a week or two. Depending on how long each session is, I may give the child homework as well, just to keep their mind running so they do not forget any info.

Details

Pricing depends on the time, the age of the student, and if we are in person or online. I do not do anymore than 3 hrs for a session and I do not do less than 1 hour.

Depending on the child, I may have them work with one or two additional students of mine on zoom, which would lower the price because it saves money, time, and gas. However, if the student needs specific individual support, I work with them seperately.
