About Celia

My name is Celia McDonald and I'm a college student finishing my pre-requisite classes for Physician Assistant school. I'm from Austin, TX and currently live in Pflugerville. I have always loved reading and writing. Literature, poetry, essays, all easy for me. I noticed that many of my classmates struggled with English composition, essay writing, e.t.c. I knew I could help. I have spent hours helping my class mates with their writing to get better grades. Learning side by side with another student helps to understand their prospective. I have a strong background in Microsoft office and writing formats. I have my AAS in Medical Assisting and my BS in Healthcare Management through National American university in Georgetown, TX. I've written medical articles for the American medical technologists and completed formal presentations for their conferences. I've done informal teaching assisting during our healthcare law and ethics, medical terminology, and laboratory classes while competing both my degrees. I will do my best for every student because every student deserves the resources to succeed and have fun.

I have learned so much in my academic career that many students didn't know like online research tips, Microsoft office shortcuts for papers, e.t.c. I get excited everytime I help my classmates or another student be able to do a writing assignment with confidence knowing they're getting a better grade on this assignment and in future assignments. We're going to writing in some form or another throughout school and work. We might as well make it easier and be great at it!

About the lesson

Getting to know the student and what their goals are. What are you wanting to accomplish through tutoring? Understanding the desired results leads to a better planned and prepared lesson. Students have a life too and so my goal is to get the most out of each session with every student.
