About Ana

My name is Ana Moosavian and I am the managing director and owner of The English Academy. I bring extensive experience gained from teaching in multi-national settings across several countries as a master ESL teacher.

I have an M.A. in TESL and Linguistics from the University of North Texas and a B.A. in English from Azad University. For more than twenty-five years, I have taught at universities, community colleges, private English schools, and corporations. I have taught individuals ranging from kindergarteners to senior executives of Fortune 500 companies in both private and group settings and worked with students of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and learning levels. I design and develop curriculum and use effective instructional strategies while demonstrating high educational standards to keep my students challenged. I have a deep understanding and passion for cultural differences, and my top priority is making curriculum understandable and relatable to my students to help them master accent reduction, writing, reading, and speaking skills, and build fluency.

At The English Academy, we believe in going the extra mile to help students succeed and reach their full potential. We strive to inspire and motivate students to be the best they can be and believe in developing self-confidence for students as part of their English learning journey.

We are located in Plano, Texas, and specialize in providing quality English training for ESL and native English speakers of all ages.

At The English Academy, courses are custom-tailored for individuals, small groups, and corporate employees and executives to meet the students' needs. These courses include accent reduction, conversation/idioms, grammar/writing, reading, presentation skills, communication skills, business speaking/writing, language arts, and TOEFL preparation.

Lessons are designed and developed with a variety of materials and focus on helping each student reach their learning objective. Teachers provide a productive student-centered learning environment, make every lesson interesting, practical and applicable, and create opportunities for group discussions to practice real-life situations in the classroom. They provide constructive feedback to students and welcome their input to help deliver the best learning experience.

Corporate classes are custom-designed programs for individuals or groups offered onsite or online. Our teachers and training staff have provided services to major corporations in the DFW area and work diligently with executives, managers, and employees of all levels to provide them with the necessary language skills to enhance their work performance and everyday lives.

The English Academy and its staff strive to help students master all areas of the English language, establish a successful and fun learning experience, and build fluency.

In 2018, The English Academy was chosen for the 2018 Best of Plano Awards in the category of English Language School.
