HELLO! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INQUIRY. PLEASE NOTE THAT I ONLY WORK WITH STUDENTS IN GRADES 7 OR HIGHER

I am a passionate and experienced teacher always looking for ways to fix or innovate old teaching methods to meet the learning needs of the 21st-century student. I have taught in the classroom and online for 15 years and hold 2 Masters degrees and a PhD in art history. My BA is in English Literature. I have taught writing to college students of all levels, all backgrounds, in and outside of California. I am myself an experienced writer and write articles, books, blogs, and everything in-between. Being a college teacher gives me a different perspective on middle- and high-school learning and I am eager to help kids be better prepared for college or careers. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher focused on and driven by the individual success of each of my students.

My tutoring clients receive an individually tailored and customized learning program administered through quality one-on-one sessions with an experienced academic professional and interesting, innovative assignments designed for maximum learning benefit.

Teaching is my true calling; it is what I do best and like best. I build and share knowledge, and the success of my students -- in my class and beyond -- is my primary objective. I believe that all students can excel. It is just a matter of cracking the code and figuring out what motivates and energizes a young person's mind. It is for that moment that all my effort as a teacher is focused. I am always learning too -- and I often learn from my students. At their best, teaching and learning are reciprocal.
