About Camille

Hi there, my name is Camille and I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I am here to help you with all of your English learning and or English writing needs! In May, I graduated from Arizona State University with two degrees in Global Studies and Spanish. My Bachelor's of Arts degrees have made me proficient in both English and Spanish. I have years of experience writing at an advanced level so I am more than qualified to help you with any papers or essays you may have. Although I have never taught formally, I have experience helping fellow students throughout my academic career. I have proofread and helped organize essay plans for many fellow students.

I have two Bachelor's of Arts degrees in Global Studies and Spanish. My rigorous collegiate academic career gave me plenty of experience writing at a high level.

About the lesson

My teaching style is dependent on the student's needs and goals. Students are welcome to come with an essay prompt and we can plan the essay together or they can come with an already finished essay that we can edit together. Additionally, students who are learning English are welcome to make an appointment with me to practice their speaking skills. These types of sessions will be based on the student's interests and skill levels.

You must understand the prompt and requirements of your assignment before meeting with me. Brainstorm ideas before our session so that we can work together on your essay.

For students looking to practice their English speaking skills:

Before our session, please identify your level of English speaking so that I can prepare our conversation to help you be successful.

A few months ago, two of my aunts came to visit my dad and me. We were sitting around the table after dinner and they started sharing stories from their childhood. They are the three youngest children in a family of ten so many of their stories involve them doing activities together, apart from the rest of the family. It was heartwarming to hear stories I had never heard before and learn about the strong bond they have had since childhood.

What are my most common mistakes in writing? Where do I feel 'stuck' in the brainstorming process? What is the biggest improvement I would like to see in my writing?

For English speaking practice:

What are the areas in my English learning that I need the most help with? What are the words that I have the most trouble pronouncing? What are my interests or other topics of conversation that I feel comfortable talking about?
