About Mary

I graduated with my bachelor's in education in 1983. Since then I have done substitute teaching, been a class room teacher, home educated my own children and I have been a private tutor home educating several families children. I am passionate about helping kids succeed in learning. I especially love working with elementary students. I have had a lot of experience getting struggling readers reading!

About the lesson

I like getting to know the student and learning why they are having a disconnect in their learning. I try to see things from their perspective and work out a creative, non-stressful path to clearing the roadblock and present the information in a learning style compatible with the student.
