About Albert
I was recommended by my AP Calculus teacher, Mrs. Renner, to enter the tutoring business. Mrs. Renner saw my passion for helping others and encouraged me to apply as a tutor.
I am currently a high school junior and a student in the elite CHARGEnorth STEM program at North Gwinnett High School.
I am an all A's student, class-ranked top 10 out of 800 students, and I have completed AP Calculus BC in 10th grade with a 100 in the class both semesters. Math is one of my greatest passions, and I received an award for Best Math student at my school in freshman year, and was nominated for the prestigious Georgia Governor's Honors Program (GHP) in sophomore year. I am also the Public Relations and Event Planning officer of Mu Alpha Theta (National Math Honor Society) at my school.
Furthermore, I am experienced in teaching Language Arts, and I have won several spelling bees at the school, county, and state levels in the past. In addition, I achieved Gold Medalist in back to back years (2013-2014) in the WordMasters tournament, which is a series of tests administered nationwide involving vocabulary and English puzzles. I specialize in teaching vocabulary and grammar from K-8.
However, besides these credentials, I feel that the most important skill that a tutor should have is patience and the ability to communicate with their students. I have had much experience with this field by working with K-5th graders at Level Creek Elementary School for the past 3 years (2017-2020) as an intern for the Camp Invention summer program. At Camp Invention, I helped encourage kids through logic and teamwork based activities and set up science experiments that teach something new while still being cool.

As mentioned above, I have been a leadership intern at Camp Invention for 3 years (2017-2020), and I have worked with K-5th graders on logic puzzles and science experiments. Furthermore, I have had experience tutoring my neighbors' kids (currently 7th graders) in algebra and middle-school math over the past 2 years.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I am open to all questions from my students, but I encourage them to at least give the problem a try before asking. That way, we can look at their method together and see where they went right and what they are confused on. In my experience, this narrows the problem down to a more specific issue (like a certain forgotten formula) that they can improve on, and prevents them from being intimidated by the broader unit.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
My son struggled in math an fell behind, but Albert helped a lot. I was a bit hesitant at first because he can be very awkward around older kids, but Albert was super nice and fun. My son is now back on track!
I loved his openness and knowledgeability when it came to working with me. I'm a bit slower at picking up things, but his patience was one of tje reasons I stayed with him for so long. He never yelled, walked out, or got frustrated. Honestly, he was a great person to just be around, not including being an exceptional tutor.
Mr. Albert is a very intelligent person and thoroughly knowledgeable in English/Language Arts. When he was tutoring me, he was very helpful and patient. If I didn’t understand something, he would just go back through it again until I understood. I would definitely recommend him to others.
He understood the topics I asked about really well and I was able to improve my scores in Math and English really well.
