About Saumya

Hello! I'm a PhD student in Clinical Psychology and I am passionate about helping others reach their goals. I am so excited to finally have a platform to share what I've learned over the years - both in writing and in my main field of psychology.

I have always had a knack for writing and have often been a point person in my circles to help others with their work, whether it be for a class, admission essay, or personal creative writing.

About the lesson

I always have an initial meeting with my new students to get to know them, talk about their overall goals for tutoring (ie. higher exam grades? improved essay structure?), and get on the same page about how I can best support them in getting there. We also use this meeting to discuss scheduling and pricing, which will vary based on the student's needs.

Find someone who shows genuine invested interest in supporting you. A tutor should have not just an in depth knowledge about the field, but should be flexible enough to meet you where you are at and accept constructive feedback about how they can be better in helping you.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Come prepared to talk about some of your strengths as well as areas of improvement, examples of possible types of assignments/exams you may want help with, and a general idea of what your schedule looks like.
