About Heaven

Customers should hire me as a tutor because I bring hands-on experience working with young learners, especially children ages 3–8. I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education along with multiple teaching certifications, allowing me to use strong, research-based strategies during one-on-one and small group instruction. I create engaging, personalized lessons that make learning fun while meeting each child’s individual needs. I have experience supporting diverse learners and adapting my approach to different learning styles. I am skilled in using structured activities, visuals, and interactive techniques to keep students focused and motivated. I build positive, trusting relationships that help children feel confident and comfortable while learning. I communicate clearly with families to provide updates and support continued growth at home. Most importantly, I am passionate about helping each child build skills, confidence, and a love for learning.

I first discovered my passion for educating children when I was a little girl, pretending to be a teacher while playing with my younger siblings. Those early moments sparked a genuine love for guiding and supporting others. After becoming a parent, I began volunteering in my children’s classrooms, which deepened my interest in education. Through those experiences, I realized I wanted to contribute in a more meaningful and impactful way, which inspired me to pursue my Bachelor’s degree. I then worked as a Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 assistant teacher for two years. While I truly enjoyed the classroom setting, I found that I am most effective in small group or one-on-one teaching environments, where I can provide more individualized support and build stronger connections with each child.

About the lesson

When working with new students, I will:

Begin with a friendly greeting and introductory conversation to build rapport

Assess their current skill level through diagnostic and initial questions

Identify the learning methods that work best for them, whether visual, written, or oral

This approach allows me to create a supportive and personalized learning experience from the start.

While I am not a certified special education teacher, I have experience working with students with autism and children who are developing their English language skills. These experiences have strengthened my ability to be patient, flexible, and responsive to each child’s unique needs.
