About Manju

My goal is to help students learn the concepts and rules of the English language and apply it into their work. I care deeply about students I work with because I know that one teacher can make a huge impact on how you view education.

I've worked at an afterschool program where I helped students with homework. I've also done tutoring programs through volunteer opportunities at YPS25 and YPS30.

I believe our words can make a huge impact in the world. When we learn how to use these skills in our writing, we're getting one step closer to change. Writing and revising essays excites me because I believe there is always room for growth.

• HS diploma, currently a first year college student

• prior work experience as a tutor

About the lesson

When working with new students, I begin with getting to know them as an individual. I would like to get to know their learning style, their interests, and what their typical workload/assignments look like. I can then apply this into creating a schedule revolved around helping them learn and accomplish their tasks in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Pre-K - 7th grade

I would advise students looking for a tutor to find someone who cares about the subject as well as them individually. They should have a passion for what they teach and patience with those struggling to learn.
