About Kamia
Hello! My name is Kamia and I am an aspiring English tutor. I have an associate’s degree in graphic design, but after working at a high school earlier this year, I discovered my love for teaching and helping students to develop a love for learning. I have worked with all three levels of special needs students, severe, moderate, and mild. I also had the opportunity to help students without special needs. I really enjoy forming bonds with my students and figuring out what methods of learning work best for them. One of my favorite subjects to teach is English. Helping my students work through writing, spelling, sentence structure, and grammar in their English assignments was something that inspired me to want to tutor English as a second language. It brings me so much joy to see my students progress, and seeing their efforts to improve their learning motivates me to keep striving to learn and apply better methods to help them. Thank you for reading and getting to know a little bit about me, and I look forward to helping you/ your child with their learning journey.
