About Kayla
I am a homeschooling mom with three years of experience. I have also been a substitute teacher for two years in my local school system. I have a BA in English from the University of GA, and am soon to apply to GA Southern University for my Masters in Teaching for Special Education. I have been told that I am very patient and have a good way of breaking down complex ideas into simple explanations for others. Teaching comes naturally to me. I really enjoy helping students find the most simple solution to their problems so they can work on their foundational skills and excel in their studies. I encourage independent thinking and incorporating students’ interests into their learning experience. I focus mostly on developing skill mastery rather than achieving specific grades. I believe in focusing on progress over perfection.
