About Caroline

I have a Masters in Education and a B.A. in History and French. I have been teaching at the university level for 12 years. I have tutored since I was a tennager, therefore for decades.

I am passionate about education and am personally invested in the success of my students. I want my students to learn and to enjoy themselves as well.

I have taught all ages -- preschool, grade school, university, and the elderly as a volunteer teaching French classes at retirement communities.

My original teaching job was as a long-term subsitute teacher in French at a local school.

I currently teach French at the College of Charleston. I have a Masters in Education from the College of Charleston. I have a B.A. from Sewanee (The University of the South), an excellent liberal arts college. I have been teaching off-and-on for decades.

About the lesson

We identify the student's goal(s). I explain what we will do to achieve those goals. I have a patient and encouraging approach.

I have worked with all ages of students. At the College of Charleston, I teach both standard French classes as well as classes for students with challenges. I have worked with all kinds of learning disabiities, with the physically-impaired, and with emotional challenges such as test anxiety.

Look for someone who is experienced and patient.

One of my former students needed some help with upper-level French grammar in a class she's currently taking. I enjoyed helping with her with the material and with re-building her confidence.
