About Claire
I have enjoyed taking language courses over the last four years, and would like to be able to use my knowledge to help others while also paying my way through college.
I will be graduating high school this June and have taken German for all 4 years. Before high school, I lived and Switzerland for 5 years and gained much of my language skills through that experience. I have also earned a seal of biliteracy in German this year, which is awarded to people with a high level of proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in two or more languages.

I am a very visual teacher, and I provide examples that my students can apply to their own studies.
I would recommend focusing less on the grammar aspects of the language, and more on actual oral communication. Although being accurate is important in a language, being able to communicate in real-world settings is equally, if not more, important.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe that students should figure out the key areas that they would like to focus on, be it communication, grammar, or simple vocabulary. Giving a teacher these specifics can help them to assist you in the quickest and most effective ways possible. I would also recommend considering what learning strategies work best for the student, as that can often help with retention of information.
