About Brent

My name is Brent. I am a 28 year old musician and guitar teacher. I have been playing guitar for approximately 15 years, have played in working bands and would like to start teaching more. I am hoping to work with beginners primarily as these are tyically the students i have worked with in the past. Given the obvious restrictions and obsticles that the pandemic has presented, video call lessons would be optimal, however, I'm sure I can accomidate in some circumstances. I am very reasonably priced and although this is a job, I genuineely do love getting others to have the same excitment for the instrument that i did, and still have.

I am passionate about guitar and music in genreral, so I enjoy all fascets of music including teaching. I am also a student of the instrument (as is everyone) so I am contantly learning as well to betteer my teaching skills. It truly is an honor to get someone excited to play after learning something new and that gives me genuine joy.

I started teaching friends who wanted to learn how to play. Naturally I eventually wanted to expand and teach others.

I have no formal education of the guitar, but I do have over 5 years of performance experience, as well as a couple years of recording experience.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my new students and gauge their knowledge of the instrument before overwhelming them with information. Once I have an idea of where their limits are, I try to create a plan that best suits said student.

Mostly college students, but age range from 17-30.

Pick a teacher who you believe is a good fit for you. Know what it is you want to learn, and find a teacher who you think can help facilitate that. Most importantly find a teacher who will make learning fun. I find that enjoyment makes the learning process easier, and people are more likely to retain information if they are enjoying themselves.

I got to see the Rolling Stones in Orlando. They are my favorite!
