About Shane

Lakeland School Of Music is Lakeland's premier music school. We've been offering music lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced players of all ages for over 15 years. We have more than 20 highly qualified music instructors on staff and offer lessons in more than 25 different instruments all at one convenient location, (next to South Gate Publix). We’ve been offering quality music instruction in Lakeland since 2008, and teach Guitar, Piano, Voice, Drums, Bass Guitar, Violin, Flute, Ukulele, Band & Orchestral Instruments and more! We offer many performance opportunities, and we have an impressive 100% success rate for successfully preparing students for Harrison School of the Arts auditions for Jazz Guitar, Jazz Bass, Classical Guitar, Violin, Choir, and Vocal Theater. All of our teachers are higly trained professional music instructors who either hold a degree in music, are working towards a degree in music, or are music performers in the Central Florida area. They are all incredibly talented, kind, patient, and love sharing their gift of music with others.

About the lesson

Firs we find out what their musical interestes are. Then we help define the students' goals. Next we create a plan to reach those goals, and begin to impliment a curriculum which builds skills in sight reading, music theory, technique, improvisation, pedagogy, and repertoire. This gives each student the most well-rounded music education and experience possible, and best of all gets the students playing the music they want to learn!
