About Nikki

I'm new to the Boulder area and have 20 years experience teaching music in elementary school, youth orchestra and private and group lessons. My degree is in piano pedagogy and I teach piano, guitar, ukulele, flute and cello.

I love seeing the progress made by my students, developing relationships and sharing the job of music making.

I began teaching as part of my degree program at McNeese State University.

I have a degree in piano pedagogy, am a Kodály certified teacher, have participated with the Francis G. Bulber Youth Orchestra, first as a student in its inception in 1994 to present day strings and theory teacher. I spent 8 years teaching elementary and middle school classroom music, taught privately for 20 years and taught private and group lessons at Village Music. I organized the annual piano solo and ensemble festival with the Lake Charles Piano Teachers Association (MTNA affiliate) for 7 years, sang with the Lake Charles Messiah Choir and the Lake Charles Choral Foundation's Masterworks Chorale. I've been active in drama and musical theatre as well as live music performance.

About the lesson

I teach piano lessons from my home in Longmont, CO and through Google Hangouts at 35/ half hour lesson. I accept cash and paypal and schedule Mon- Thurs. mornings and early afternoons. For in home lessons, I sanitize and mask and ask students to mask as well.

I've taught ages 3 to adults, including a 3 year old group music class I called Tiny Tunes Adventure Time.
