About Ted

Hi there! My name is Teddy and I am professional guitar player, songwriter and music producer in Los Angeles. My understanding of music does not come from the arduous process of reading sheet music. My understanding and love of music comes from improvisation. Through improvisation you are able to "feel" music and create whatever you chose. This improvisation is fortified by a strong understanding of music theory. I pride myself on my ability to take complex theory ideas and making them relatable to students of all skill levels.

The secret to my teaching process is that it is multi-faceted. If a student isn't grasping theory, I apply different learning techniques for them to understand. Guitar, for example, will be understood through shapes and patterns. This will allow my students to understand the guitar from top to bottom without being inconvenienced by learning methods that they do not gel with.

My music production students love my process because in every session we create something new. Even on the first day, after we learn certain basics, something will be created. This offers a window into the world of becoming your own artist.

I am a diligent passionate person and I hope I can be apart of your music journey.
