Hey there to everyone who's looking for a professional guitar instructor! My name is Brian, and I have many years of experience teaching all ages and musical styles/techniques on acoustic or electric guitar. Everything from classical to rock to fingerstyle to alternate picking, beginners to advanced! I've been on the faculty of several different music schools, I'm Conservatory-level trained, and I'd love to help you all realize your musical goals and aspirations. When you're passionate about the work you do, it shows! There's nothing better than seeing the look on a student's face when they realize that they CAN play the guitar! The guidance of a professional instructor who is experienced and patient and thoroughly motivated to help the student progress, is a must for guitar students of all ages! I'll help you with proper hand positions, moving your right/left hands/fingers with maximum precision for effortless results, how to change chords with minimum pressure and tension in the tendons and ligaments of your fretting hand, exercises for both hands that produce maximum results with minimum effort,. I love what I do!! I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the results you achieve, so let's get started!

Many years of training and education from private instructors to top-notch Conservatory-level training at Mannes School of Music, American Institute of Guitar, (both in N.Y.C.), SUNY Buffalo, New School for Social Research. (N.Y.C.)

About the lesson

I begin by asking a bunch of questions about what kind of music they want to play, their favorite artists, if they're beginners or advanced. I evaluate strengths and weaknesses and develop a curriculum of music exercises and technique development so the students can learn songs and pieces of music much more quickly and efficiently. Sometimes I'll work with a drum machine, to improve their rhythm if needed, there's always fun and interesting ways to improve your chops!
