About Justin

I have over 20 years experience teaching all levels of guitar . I have many references available of successful students in the past and current . I'm an active musician. I have performed multiple bands, studio sessions, as well as solo work with guitar .

I got started teaching when I was 18 years old .I had some younger students that were interested in playing . I had a knack for teaching because I have a lot of patience and I have a lot of understanding of psychology. I can figure out what students are looking to do with music and how I can get through to them to make them successful..

I have a bachelors degree in music business and a minor in performance . State University of New York At Oneonta graduated in 2000.

I have been teaching guitar since I was 18 years of age I've had over 100 students with great success in my field most of which are continuing as musicians later in their lives .

About the lesson

The first lesson is usually an exploration lesson of learning about the the student. I will see where the student is currently where they want to go. I will then begin developing a lesson plan from there that is comfortable for them.

I have worked with all ages from 8 to 60 years of age. I've worked from beginner to advanced levels depending on what students are looking for I'm very flexible and also have worked as a help with songwriting and production .

I would say it's very important to find a connection with your teacher, somebody who makes you feel comfortable , and that you feel like you can relate to and that peaks your interest in music .
