About Micah

Micah Tappe, a professional musician has studied piano, guitar, and voice for many years. He has been teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of piano and guitar for over 15 years.

The “Ah ha!” moment when a student learns something new and has fun doing so; that’s the best.

Micah has been playing piano since the age of 3, singing since the age of 5, and guitar since the age of 8. He was classically trained on all three. Micah was a double major in both piano and guitar at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated in 2001. He attended Valencia College and The University of Central Florida to study Music Production, Audio Engineering, and Music Performance. Since 2001, Micah has taught over 100 different students, many of which have gone on to become professional musicians, win awards, and even tour nationally. Micah continues his musical career by teaching at The Right Combination Studio as a private music instructor. He also has offered his services to Lessons In Your Home, and private lessons in and around the Central Florida area for the past 10 years. Micah currently writes music for independent films, YouTube, television as well as several different bands throughout Florida.

About the lesson

For new students there is a brief introductory lesson where the student is evaluated and put into a beginner, intermediate, or advanced category.

Since 2001, Micah has taught over 100 different students, many of which have gone on to become professional musicians, win awards, and even tour nationally.

Have fun with it! If you dont enjoy it, and it doesnt excite you, find something that does. Luckily there are lots of musical options.

When a student is learning new material and they dont quite understand something, Micah has many different ways to present the material thus enhansing the students learning process. Micah is always fond of that “Ah-Ha!” momemt when a student finally gets it.
