About Nadia
History is my passion in life. I have always loved learning about the past, and I want to share that love with students. Not everyone sees the magic of history, but I do and I believe I can help students see it.
I share my love and passion for history and hopefully pass it on. If anything, the student at least learns to enjoy history class and won't dread that hour of the day.
I actually have very little besides working at two libraries and helping with homework there and briefly volunteering at a school with pre-K and middle graders.

I usually talk to them and ask them how their day is/how they are and then dive into the homework that they have. Ask them if they understand what their teacher is talking about and then go over what they are having issues with and explain it in a way they understand.
In the first few minutes it is important to understand the way the student speaks so I can speak at their level and not below or above.
Very young kids, from pre-K to middle graders. All very kind and sweet; the work we did was a wide range from math and science to reading and writing to world history and Arabic studies.
Some learned by writing notes, others drew pictures to learn.
It's okay to reach out and ask for help. History is not an easy class, and it is not just about remembering long-forgotten people and dates. These people, events, and dates are why things are the way our world is today. And a well-versed history teacher is hard to find.
My cat laying on my lap. I've had her for three years and she's pretty stand-offish, but over the last couple of months, she has become more cuddly and wants to be on my lap.
