About Colin
I have twenty years of experience tutoring Greek and Latin, and over a decade of experience teaching the same subjects in K-12 and Higher Ed. I enjoy helping students gain clarity in these difficult and rewarding languages.
I began tutoring many years ago when friend told me he wanted to be able to read Plato on his own and in the original language. Since then, I have been tutoring students while continuing my education, as well as while teaching full-time.
I hold a PhD in Classical Studies from Boston University, which means that I have the highest possible credentials in the field of Ancient Greek and Latin.

About the lesson

First I meet with the student to discuss his or her struggles with the material, and to outline short- and long-term goals. Then we establish a schedule which is mutually beneficial. I come up with a curriculum--whether if it is meant to complement the student's current coursework or to be complete on its own--including textbooks, assignments, quizzes and tests.
