My experience has come from homeschooling for 11 years and 3+ years of in depth studying and researching of many different curriculums and how students learn the best. I have bought many different materials in search of the best fit for my 5 boys whom I homeschooled. I am very excited about my recent spelling and reading curriculum as I have created it myself based on what I believe works.

My concept of tutoring students is to make the process as simple as possible by assessing where they are at and getting them where they need to be as quickly as possible. The process becomes very simple with me. Children need to fully understand and comprehend the purpose in what you are teaching them and why you are teaching it to them. I am a stickler on giving children a solid foundation in spelling, reading, and in Math. This is so important - if not taught properly, it will negatively affect every other aspect of their life.

Teaching style: Creative and Simple

My own education history: I love teaching and learning. I still spend many hours a day learning. I have worked with children and this process for many years in many different settings. I have 2 years of college. My highest level of math was college pre-calculus. I love teaching math, how to read, language arts, and writing.

I was going to finish my degree when I became pregnant with our 4th son. Since then I have been buying up and studying tons of different curriculum all to discover that I wasn't thrilled about the majority of them. Since then I have been organizing and creating my own curriculum that WORKS. I absolutely love watching children learn. It is fascinating. Homeschooling and tutoring is amazing in that it allows every child to move at their own pace. I also love homeschooling and tutoring because every child is taught to be an individual and that their passion to learn can lead them anywhere they want to go in life.

I LOVE teaching, education, and watching people become enlightened!!!

Literacy lessons offered by are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Niles. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
