About Miekala

I graduated from the Abeka Academy homeschool program with a GPA of 3.76. I am currently enrolled at Victoria College, and I have completed 27 credit hours towards my forensic psychology degree. I have been recognized on the Dean’s List of Honor Students for the 2022 Fall Semester at Victoria College with a GPA of 3.75, and have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society in the spring of 2023 with a GPA of 3.875. The following are my TSI scores from 2020:

Reading - 378

Writing - 368

I have over four years of customer service experience, as well as nearly a year and a half of experience teaching children and working with parents in a daycare setting. I have also tutored my younger sister in grammar, reading, writing, and literature since the age of 13. I attended a college in Florida for one semester in 2021 where I earned side money as a private tutor to my fellow classmates while being a full-time student and working twenty hours a week.

My passion is to help kids ages six through eighteen with my skills in grammar, reading, writing, and literature. I am looking for parents and caregivers who are willing to place their trust in me as a reliable and caring tutor for their children. My goal is to help children meet and surpass what is expected so that they excel in their studies without being weighed down by overbearing stress. I am willing to work with children who are preparing to start school for the first time and children who are transitioning from homeschool to public school or vise versa, as well as graduating students who are preparing for college. I am also willing to work with children who are behind in their studies to catch up with their classmates.

I value children's education; therefor, I will not be seen promoting strict memorization, but rather, I will help children understand the concepts so that they can use their knowledge to do well in their classes, as well as succeed in everyday life. Every person learns differently, so not a single student will be tutored exactly the same as another. Each student will require something unique for their progression; however, they will all be prepared for whatever it is they are seeking help for.

The application of knowledge is a very important skill that all children have the right to learn. Education can be fun, as well as challenging. I look forward to working with the children, as well as their parents and caregivers, to better the children's lives by reducing stress while increasing understanding.
