About Karalynn
I am a professional tutor who made friends among the Deaf community during my time in Lynchburg, VA. I fell in love with American Sign Language and decided to make it my minor. I took two years of the language, as well as a class in Deaf Studies and another that introduced me to teaching and interpreting ASL. I have conducted private tutoring sessions with underclassman as well as through Chegg via webcam.

I believe learning a second language should be fun and immersive. I had the privilege of learning ASL from Deaf teachers, who only used sign in the classroom. I use similar methods in my classes, encouraging students to rely on basic signs to communicate and then expand their vocabulary. However, I also offer advanced lesson in ASL grammar!
