About Adam

I'm Adam! I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in chemistry and a minor in history. While preparing for law school I took the LSAT and scored a 175, the 99.5 percentile! When I was studying for the test I realized I actually enjoyed the process (strange, I know) and because of that decided to become a tutor so I could stay involved with the exam even after taking it. I love helping students improve their score, it is immensely rewarding to me.

Believe it or not, I tutor the LSAT because I find the LSAT fun! I try to instill this same love for the test in my students, because it will make the studying process more enjoyable, and will help push you towards a higher score. I believe anyone can score well on the LSAT, and I'm ready to work with you to create a personalized study plan, and guide you to your dream LSAT score. I have tutored hundreds of hours and have a history of student success.

I'm fully dedicated to the success of my students, they are always free to send me a text with an urgent question, or set-up a session with short notice. I will do whatever I can to help you succeed. About the lesson

We will begin with a free consultation where we learn about you and where you currently are on your LSAT journey. From there we will work with you to build a plan for how we will attack the LSAT both in your tutoring sessions and your self-study.

The first couple of sessions will typically involve going over strategies for how to approach each section of the LSAT you wish to work on. From there we will move into working on real LSAT problems. This typically involves a combination of talking through questions you struggled with during your self-study time, and working through new problems together.

When we are working through practice problems together we are typically trying to teach you how to approach the problems in a way that encourages a fundamental understanding of how the questions are working. In practice this means we focus a lot on understanding arguments in logical reasoning, understanding the passages in reading comprehension, and how to effectively diagram and make inferences in logic games.

We also focus on identifying your weak points and will work through questions that address those weak points during our tutoring sessions. We will be continually adjusting how the sessions are approached as we learn more about you and your needs.
