About Manuel
Celebrating 45 years in serving the greater Dayton Miami Valley area in martial arts education, both in training and mentorship. Pioneered the MMA program in the Dayton area since 1976 and offers 7 different martial arts disciplines for kids and adults.
We are passionate and committed about what we do and how we teach our martial arts to our students both young and old, children, and adults (men and women). Helping all students build their sense of self-confidence knowing that they can take care of themselves. For children, we teach the value of life skills along with practical self-defense, physical activities, and anti-bullying programs. For adults is about instilling confidence, finding fitness both mentally and physically, and building the indomitable spirit within oneself.

I had several martial arts experiences and certifications prior to joining GM Gasper. I was trained to be an instructor since 1973 by Grandmaster Gasper. I was also hired by New Mexico State University to teach children at the Boy's Club. That is how I got started teaching.

Trained Close Quarter Combatives - USAirForce Security - contracted with USGovernment and developed the program ISD which is similar to Krav Maga. Certified by USMarines Headquarters (Lt. Colonel Schusko) Martial Arts Excellence 2005 teaching the Tactical Combatives and Self-Defense.

Start free trial lessons by either scheduling a FREE private lesson one-on-one or Free one-week group classes. Some are offered group trial lessons and some are required to start at the private lessons to give students attention primarily new students.
All types of students from kids at 4 to adults at 92 years of age. Both men and women and children. I have also taught in many seminars from 80 students up to 300 students at one time. Taught at the University of Dayton for some years for women self-defense classes. I was also hired by Chuck Norris at his UFAF conventions in 1982, 83, and 84 teaching his black belt students. Handicapped students, ADHD students, and others.
Watch the classes and how the instructor teaches. See how the instructor relates to the students. See how patient the instructor is other than their knowledge and certifications.
Watching the student improve in such a short time of training. Seeing them transform their confidence up higher. See the children become more focused. Seeing the adults and children more sure of themselves
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I have always said to the students "there are no stupid questions" Ask any questions pertaining to the class and you will learn more. I remind students to NOT be embarrassed to ask a question.
