About Sobeilly

I am a certified teacher, currently teaching 3rd grade. I've taught in Georgia as well, which is a common core state. My experiences include 4th, 5th grade general ed, 6-12 Spanish. I've been tutoring for the last two years and enjoy seeing the growth in academics and confidence in students.

I enjoy helping students and figuring out different ways of showing students how to comlete different tasks. I also believe that building a relationship with the students and parents is important and I do enjoy getting to know them and their experiences.

I've aleways worked with kids. I started off by teaching Sunday School classes, moved on to working at the Boys and Girls Club and continuing to work with kids at summer camps.

I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Ed and a minor in Spanish. I am certified in K-6 General Ed, 6-8 Language Arts and Spanish K-12.

About the lesson

We I first meet a student/parent, I will ask several questions about their needs and challenges. I will also want to know their expecations and likes. Depending on the subject, I will give a quick assessment to see what they know and from there I will develop modify lessons.

As a teacher, you get to work with all level students. I've also had the opportunity of working in a co-taught classroom with the Special Ed teacher.

I would say, look for a teacher that is able to offer more than just a worksheet. You want a teacher that will assess the student first so she/he is sure that they know the student's ability and challenges.

Although, distance learning was challenging to get use to, at the end, it ended up being an amazing experience. My school provided many resources and workshop to learn more about online resources. That has inspired me to add more fun experiences to my online tutoring services.

Details

I charge $45/hr for general ed and $50 for high school Spanish. It takes a lot of effort to create a modify lesson for each student. Since I am a teacher, I will look up the state's standards so I can reasssured the parents that what they need is what they states required. I also include creating games and many resources so they can continue to learn and practice throughout the week.
