About Christine

Hello! My name is Christine and I am currently a graduate student at Emory University pursuing a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology. As a graduate student, I have been involved as a teaching assistant leading my own discussion groups for undergraduate Genetics courses as well as running review sessions for exams. I have also been involved in science outreach programs where I attend different elementary schools and provide educational science demonstrations.

Previously, I graduated from Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles, CA. There I received my Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a Minor in Mathematics and graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors. I have experience tutoring and helping other students of all ages, ranging from elementary to college, in different science and math courses. In addition, I participated in many different clubs on campus, some in which I was on executive board. I held many different positions, including President of the Pilipino Club, that have taught me the importance of leadership and communication. Also, I am very laid back and outgoing.

I believe that learning should be a fun process and that every student is different when it comes to education. I like to adapt each tutoring session to each individual to help find a way that teaches them best. I am available for tutoring preferably in the evening during the week or anytime during the weekend. If none of these hours work for you, I am willing to figure out a time that works best for the both of us since my schedule is slightly flexible. I'm very willing to commute to a place that is most comfortable for the student and their parents, including in-home meetings. If you prefer to not meet in person, I am also available for online lessons. I am always available for questions through the phone or email.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I hope to hear from you soon!
