About Rakibul

I'm a third year student at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering and Energy studies. I struggled throughout high school to understand material, but

I learned many ways to achieve mastery and have been tutoring others for 4+ years. I excelled in high school and got nearly a perfect score on the SAT and have tutored many students to achieve the same level of mastery that I had to achieve on my own.

I am now a Battery Engineer at Tesla Motors and completing my Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In college, I participate in the Formula SAE competition where I build performance racecars on the MIT Motorsports team.

It started with my siblings who would frequently come home confused by new concepts, and later became helping classmates at every break and even helping students like me on the internet.

About the lesson

I like to get to know the student and learn about the classes they've taken and what they specifically struggle with. Sometimes the problem is not in the present but in past concepts that they didn't understand well.

I've worked with many students my age, but also with younger students and children.

I was on the internet talking with some students my age about classes when one just started asking me Physics questions. I ended up sitting down wth him and teaching him the chapter from the ground up and it was super gratifying when he finally was able to solve the problems totally on his own and make the insights needed. He got an A on the test and I felt so fulfilled.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to really know what exactly you don't understand instead of just giving a problem you couldn't solve. It really helps pin point the issue and helps the teacher help you best.
