About Joseph

I am an 18 year old college student who enjoys teaching people subjects that they find too difficult. I finished high school with a class ranking of 92/552 students in my class and a 4.38 weighted cumulative GPA. The subjects that I enjoy the most are mathematics, science, computer science, history (U.S and World), and English. I also wrote a plethora of essays throughout high school, for my classes and college.

I enjoy watching others start to understand and enjoy learning a subject that they previously found difficult.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I needed to find a job. I was recommended to become a tutor to spread my love for teaching others.

My sister is currently in the Fischer Academy program at NSU, which is an acclerated teaching program. She taught me how to work with other,s especially children. I taught myself and applied her teachings so that I can help others learn.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student is that they email me what class/subject they are having a hard time in. I will look over that specific subject before our session so that I can give the student the most accuarte information.

I have mostly worked with my classmates in math, english, and physics. I enjoying learning, and spreding that experience to everyone else.

The advice that I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is to look for someone who shares the passion and drive that I have for teaching others. I want everyone to succeed, pass their classes, and understand what is happening while doing it.

In my trigonometry honors class I participated in my 12th grade year, I made sure everyone I sat by understood what our teacher was teaching. I enjoy mathematics the most, and want to spread that to everyone in my class because this subject gets a bad wrap.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think if they understand what is occurring in the class before talking to the teacher. They need to evaluate if they need extra help, or if there was a misunderstanding while the teacher was teaching.

The pricing system I have for my lessons are $30 an hour for regualr/honors classes and $40 an hour for AP classes. prices are negotiable.
