About Lauren

I am a certified educator for Early Childhood through 6th grade for all subjects. I am also certified to teach special education from Early Childhood through 12th grade. I am also in the process of becoming certified to teach middle and high school math.

I have been certified for 6 months but in that time I have helped my students show significant growth in their work.

I have a passion for working with kids and helping them find the way that they learn the best while making it as interactive and fun as possible.

I love being able to work with students and seeing them succeed! I enjoy getting to watch their eyes light up when they understand a concept or idea that they may have previously struggled with!

I grew up in a family of generations of educators and fell in love with the idea of teaching. I had a passion for it early on and decided to pursue a degree in it.

I started earning my degree in the Fall of 2016 and graduated college with my degree in 3 and a half years. I graduated this past December (2019) and have been teaching at a local elementary school ever since.

I am a certified general education teacher for Early Childhood through 6th grade in all subject areas. I am also certified to teach Special Education for Early Childhood through 12th grade in all subject areas.

About the lesson

My typical process is to see what the student knows first by giving them a baseline test and getting to know their learning style and how they learn. After I determine the best way to teach them, I will create a plan to work with the student on their specific needs.

I have worked with early childhood through 5th grade students in the general education setting as well as all levels of special education students during my time as a college student and professional teaching experiences.

There is a way to make learning fun and interactive and I believe I can help you find a way to do that!

I just started as a teacher back in January of this year and I had a student that was really struggling with their work. In the short time I was able to work with them in person, they were able to make a ton of progress!

They should try solving a problem on their own so we can work through where they went wrong, together.
