About Alpana
I am a high school student, so I have recently taken the classes that I want to teach in. I got all A's in all my classes that I want to teach, and A's in the rest of my classes. I can teach algebra 1 and geometry, I can also teach pre-algebra, and elementary math. Other than my achievements, I love to talk to kids and teach them math. Math is my favorite subject and it has always come easy to me which is why I want to teach them.
I love talking and being around students and kids. I also, love math, so teaching students math is great because I'm with two things I love! Also, I help students accomplish and get scores they want in school by teaching them topics they want to improve on. Seeing my students get better grades in school would be a great experience.
I have so much extra time and I'd like to do something useful with my time. Teaching students how to math would be a great way to spend my time because I am very fond of the subject math and I'd like to help other students get better, too.
I have taken 2 years of algebra and 1 year of geometry in recent years. I am a highschooler so the information is fresh and I have all my textbooks and notes that I used that I can use to teach my students. In addition, I have taken several years of algebra and geometry outside of school.

I like to first get to know them and figure out how they prefer to learn. Once I getting to know them, I'll give them a pre-test to see what they know. Then, I will give them a plan of what I want to cover. Hopefully, after giving them a quick idea of what we will do, we can get to learning.
I haven't actually taught a student yet, but I'd like to start now! I have, however, helped out my friends in school and younger students in math classes. :)
Don't worry if the person has a degree or not, just make sure that the person is at least a high schooler and has taken that class. Make sure that the person you want to hire has an idea of how they should start a class and has a clear schedule of what they want to accomplish.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think if you can answer it yourself and if not feel free to ask your teacher. Questions should always be asked if you are unsure or don't know how to do something because then it makes sure you understand what you are trying to learn. If you have schedule conflicts inform your teacher. Also, if you have a particular subject or part in your math class that you are not doing well in, then let me or your teacher know so that they can teach it to you. Also, if you have a test you are preparing for, let me know exactly what it is you have so that I can help you review it. Please let me know if I'm going to fast or if you're struggling to understand because my job is to help you and I wouldn't want you to be more confused.
