About Christopher
I am an absolute nerd for mathematics, so I strive to pass that joy onto my students (even when the material itself seems dry). With extensive knowledge of both theory and applications of mathematical concepts, I can help the laws and rules of mathematics seems second nature.
I love those aha moments. I truly believe in my students, so when I see them finally cross over that hump it is a massive joy. I also enjoy passing on mathematical and physical ideas, because I truly love them and want others to know how amazing they truly are.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Honors. I also have certificates in Computer Science and Physics and have conducted research in various fields. I have been tutoring friends for years, and have formal tutoring for the past three years. I have training in most areas of advanced mathematics and am happy to talk about all of them. I also score very well on standardized tests (34 ACT, 1580 Combined English/Math SAT, and 167/169 Verbal/Quantitative GRE) and can help you learn the secrets.

I think it pretty heavily depends on the student. Some students want a more structured program which leans more towards a lesson plan format. Others want a more laid back approach where we answer questions as they come up. Generally, I am a fan of the second method because it allows the student to take a more active role and generally interfaces better with their studies. However, I am happy to do either. The main thing is that the student feels comfortable and in charge.

Yes, generally around $15/hour. I am happy to set a session length at any amount above 30 minutes. Any travel sessions may have a longer minimum.
