About Rousitha

When I was in high school, I had many nieces, nephews, cousins and, a little brother who were in elementary school and they had trouble with math. So, I started to teach them and I was very happy when they began to think of math as a fun subject and were able to understand the logic behind.

After highschool, I continued to help neighbour's kids who were in elementary school(grade 5,6) and had the opportunity to work with a grade 11 student.

Experience:

Math tutoring of nephews, nieces, and cousins in elementary school

Math tutoring of neighbours' kids (Grade 5, Grade 6, grade 7, grade 9 and grade 11)

Education:

University student studying B.Eng(Hons) Mechatronics Engineering

Cambridge higher school certificate, with A* in mathematics

Cambridge school certificate, with A* in both mathematics and additional mathematics.

About the lesson

I believe that every student is different and they all have different learning paces. During the first few sessions I will have a very friendly approch to a new student.Then as I get to know the student better, I will set my level of friendliness and strictness to provide a healthy atmosphere for learning.

If you hate math since elementary school, it's not your fault. It was your teacher who failed to explain the simplicity of math.

One of my best teaching experience achievement was when I managed to make a boy who was in his second year of grade 11 pass Additional Mathematics in 6 months time. In his first attempt he failed miserably and hated the subject. So, I was really proud and happy when he passed his second attempt.
