About Celeste

I'm a Middle School math teacher with over 15 years experience working with kids.

I love math and I love working with young people.

I pursued a degree in education and began teaching at Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos after graduating with a Masters Degree and teaching credential.

I have a multiple subject teaching credential with a degree equivalent supplement for teaching math K-8. I have a Masters Degree in Education from UCSC and have been teaching math since 2004.

About the lesson

I will assess current levels of understanding and confidence. Building confidence is key and can begin at any level.

I work with Middle School students.

I advise students that mathematical thinking is accessible on many levels and that a love for the subject can grow and deepen at any time.

i designed and built a 20 ft diameter labyrinth in my school garden with help from students in the garden club and mindfulness club.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should start by describing what they do understand, and teachers can take them from wherever their starting point may be.
