About Le'Dajha

I am committed and invested in the success of every student who comes to me for help. I've been tutoring for 4 years, both in high school and in university.

I started tutoring in my sophomore year of high school. Many of my peers needed support in the subjects I was doing well in, so I decided to offer my help. After that, I became very interested in tutoring because I realized I could help people and keep the information of previous courses fresh.

I am currently a tutor for my university in subjects like Calculus, precalculus, algebra, English 1102, American Government, sociology, and Econ 1000.

About the lesson

When initially meeting a student, I greet them, ask them a few questions about themselves, and then ask them what they need help with. This usually relaxes the student before the session, allowing them to open up and be more receptive to help later.

I have worked with ESL, ADHD, older, and younger students across a multitde of races and ethnicities.

For students looking to hire a tutor in my area of experise, I would tell them to do their research. There are many tutors out there, so if you are not confident in one tutor, look elsewhere. Someone will be the right fit for you.

Recently, one of my regular tutees at my university told me that they brought their grade of C up to a high B in their chemistry class, and they thanked me for all my help. We have worked together since the middle of the semester, and a B was the goal we set at the beginning of our partnership.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about where they are struggling most, where they are struggling the least, and where they are excelling in a subject. This will avoid wasting the student's time and allow for both parties to get right into the session. As many people say, time is money, so if the students know themselves enough to evaluate their own learning, they should do so.

My standard price for general classes like English and algebra is $15/hr; however, for classes like Calculus 1, my price is $25/hr.
