About Sanando

I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to not only see my students succeed, but also because it gives me a sense of accomplishment to see my students grow. I know a common problem among many is that teachers do not give enough individualized attention to their students. This is a major issue and infact is one of the main reasons I began tutoring. Many of my friends were often confused in class and looked for help. This motivated me to begin branching out and tutoring many other kids achieve their full academic potential. My goal is to spread my knowledge and hopefully help you! I have been tutoring for 3 years now and I can confidently say that it given me some of the best experiences of my life. As for my qualifications, I am currently a college student in an accelerated medical program and I've been a straight A math student throughout high school, and college so far. In fact, I was even awarded my high school's math award, which was quite satisfying. Although I am still quite young, I feel this is my strong-suit as I can relate and more easily deliver material to students. I feel that most tutors are knowledgeable about the subject they teach. However, what sets me apart is that I am able to deliver the information in a far more digestable way because of my proximity in age with many of my students. Overall, I am very excited for this opportunity and hopefully I can help you acheive your academic goals!

I have been tutoring in all subjects of math for over 3 years now. I am currently a college student in an accelerated medical program.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, the most important thing I look for is what the student's baseline ability at the given subject I will teach. Typically by trying to find this baseline by either asking a variety of questions, or by directly asking what parts of a given subject a student may struggle with, I tend to figure out the way in which I should teach the given student. By the demeanor, and my overall experience with working with so many different students, I am able to adjust to essentially any kind of student; however, it is this beginning process that I try and figure everything out.

I worked with high school and college students of all different skills levels.

I would try and give the student confidence and say that anyone can be a straight A student in high school and college math. I truly believe that this ability is within everyone, it is simply about some indivudualized attention and hardwork, and I am willing to help you achieve this goal.

Think if your problems are truly about you not understanding the concepts that your teacher is teaching you, or is it more about you missing or not listening to parts of the class.
