About Levi

- Computer Science student who is passionate about mathematics and teaching others. I am attending Fullerton College where I am currently taking Calculus 4. I plan to transfer to UCLA or UC Irvine to continue my education

- 3.9 GPA and have earned A's in all of my previous math classes while also helping other students in those classes.

I like being able to see students who are having a hard time grasping a subject get the hang of it. I believe that every student can achieve success in mathematics with some extra help and effort. Seeing them do well in their classes after receiving my help brings me a great sense of fufillment and satisfaction.

I realized that I could teach students when my peers would come to me for help and I could make relatively difficult subjects easier for them to understand. Then I recieved my first paid-tutoring job to tutor high school math. From there, I have tutored multiple math students in high school mathmatics.

I am currently a student at Fullerton College studying Computer Science. I have a 3.9 GPA and have A's on all of my math courses from Algebra to Calculus III. I will go on to take Calculus 4 in the Spring Semester of 2021 to continue my education.

About the lesson

When working with a new student I will ask for there latest homework or a sample of what they are struggling on before our session. Once we are in the session I will introduce myself and we can get to work. I try my best to make it a low stress environment for the student so they will feel comfortable.

I would recommend somone with a balance of experience and relaitability. There are many math tutors out there who have great expereince but fail to meet the student's needs as they don't relate to what it is like being a student in today's learning environment. I believe that I bring both of these qualities to the table as a college student and a experienced math tutor.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before talking to teachers or tutors about their needs, students need to ask themselves what they are confused about and bring as many questions as they can relating to what they are confused about. Asking questions is the best way to learn when confused about hard topics and I create a friendly and open environment to do so. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
