About Annetta

No two students have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why I create an individual learning plan for each student. I use your child's strengths to develop weaker areas and learn new skills

PERSONAL

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado I grew up loving school! I was fortunate to have both parents & two sets of grandparents who encouraged me to try many different activities outside of school. I learned quickly that I enjoy quite a variety of activities! I know I can connect with any child on some interest level since I was blessed with having a wide range of experiences.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

For over 20 years, I have taught grades 1-8 in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. I completed my Bachelors degree at Colorado State University and Elementary Licensure Program and Masters degree in Education at University of New Mexico.

-Get to know them as and individual: likes/dislikes, hobbies, talents, interests, and what they want to get out of tutoring sessions.

-Find their strengths.

-Determing area of need.

-Determine time needed/wanted

-Develop a plan to meet tutoring needs.

Find someone you can easily talk to. Be honest with your strengths and weakness. Be honest with your level of understanding instruction or processes. Be open to different ways or methods of instruction. Don't compare Tutor to your Classroom Teacher -- Tutors are meant to do things differently thank your teacher in order to help you.
