About Daniel

Numbers have also been my strong suit. I get that that's not the case for many people today, and do my teaching based on the level in which you have an understanding... then progress that knowledge from there. My methods are basic and common though quite easy to remember once having a grasp on them. I just want others to be able to see this world of numbers in the same light as I do.

It drives me when I get the chance to better improve someone in their own mind. Math is such a vital tool in the society we live in today, and I just want to help others see that like I've been blessed to have been able to see.

I realized I had a knack for it when helping my children with their homework. They believe themselves quite lucky to have had me around for help in grasping a lesson or problem. So I suppose I've always enjoyed contributing to the spread of knowledge.

Math is something I see in every bit of my daily life, and I am always using it. I've taken dealer school classes (for the casino business) and obviously have my high school diploma with many mathematics credits within its reaching.

About the lesson

I like to find where the extent of knowledge the student already has a grasp on, and once finding the cut-off point, proceed to build that information to an embedded knowledge that they will have with them for life. I believe the approach should vary from student to student, based upon the progress in which the subject has already thus far been learned. I think everyone is able to learn anything with the proper guidance at hand.

Choose someone who gets the fact the everyone learns at different rates, and someone who you best believe to connect with at a personal level. These things will help make the effort you have put into bettering yourself, quite effective.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Are they going to be a good fit for my particular learning-curve? Can they teach from my level of understanding and not their own? Are they someone who impresses me with their knowledge on the subject?
