About Carey

As a certified Florida Elementary School teacher, with over 16 years of experience teaching in public schools, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for learning to the learning environment as well as an expertise and dedication to fostering growth and resilience in every student.

Working with me, your child can expect a dynamic learning environment where hands-on experiences and critical thinking are highly valued. I am deeply committed to fostering a love for learning and empowering students to explore the world around them to ignite curiosity and fuel intellectual growth.

Discussion, learning how to research, and asking questions play crucial roles in my teaching approach and directly translate to one-on-one tutoring sessions. Through engaging discussions, I encourage students to express their thoughts, clarify concepts, and deepen their understanding of the material. Additionally, I guide students in developing research skills, teaching them how to find reliable sources, analyze information, and synthesize their findings. By asking probing questions, I help students identify their strengths and areas for improvement, enabling me to tailor instruction to meet their individual needs effectively.

I believe in the power of challenge and resilience. I encourage students to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, understanding that making mistakes is a natural and valuable part of the learning process. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to take risks, ask questions, and explore new ideas.

It is my firm belief that overcoming obstacles and pushing past comfort zones are essential for personal and academic growth.
