About Akeel
After helping many classmates and friends with math, and aiding some of my teachers and professors in class and office hours, I was frequently told that I should really consider a career in teaching mathematics.
I am currently completing a concentration in mathematics and computer science at NYU.

When working with new students, I first like to talk with them to get an idea of where they might need the most help so that we can work together from there. By getting to know a new student, I could determine which of their skills needs the most immediate development which paves the way for an understanding of more advanced concepts and opens up doors for mastery in the subject.
Math is not a spectator sport. Some concepts are difficult to grasp and they require a good deal of practice. That said, you should be fully involved in the learning process and practice as regularly as possible.
