About Vincent

I work solo, I've learned Geometry from one of the best teachers I know. I became a student teaching assistant in 2020 but due to Covid-19, I want to help kids learn the subject by other means.

I love helping students get stronger in geometry. When I first took the class I failed but I ended up persevering and becoming one of the smartest geometry students in my school. I became a student teacher and continued to help others as much as possible.

I started teaching in highschool when my geometry teacher made me a student teaching assistant.

I have taking geometry for 3 years in highschool. The first year I failed, the second year I took it more seriously and ended up passing the regents with a 92. The third year I became a student teacher and started helping students become better at the subject that I once struggled in.

About the lesson

I like to work with all kinds of students and I like to work slow. Not everyone works at the same speed and some work faster than others. My goal with each student is to test them on the basic knowledge that I give them and have them relay it back to me stronger than they would've in a classroom.

I've worked with visual, hands on learners. Geometry is a tricky subject if you don't use attention to detail.

Look for a teacher that doesn't give you answers. I know this may sound stupid but most teachers will give you answers to get the lesson over with and your child will more than likely be left more confused than anything else.

There was this one student named Litzy, she would always fall behind other students and generally had a low attention span. With only one 1 on 1 session with me she was able to pass her next quiz with an 86 and that's a moment I cherish.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Always think about what is confusing you. When you tell teachers about a certain question, don't say "I don't get this question." Instead ask "what is this question trying to ask me?" Or "What method can I use to work with this question?"
